Community Spirit
Community Spirit is a village-wide readout of the village’s character. It is built from the buildings the village recognises: a dock and a fishing hut make a village nautical, a tavern and a market make it commercial, an archives makes it scholarly.

A building contributes only where its purpose genuinely expresses a spirit. Plain storage is neutral. Upgrading a building keeps every spirit it already had and adds to it.
Reading It
Section titled “Reading It”Open the MCA Blueprint screen, go to Status, and open the Spirit page. The list view shows each spirit’s points and share, with the buildings contributing to it. The radar view shows the same as a chart. You can sort, filter to the top three, or hide anything under 10%.
Each building’s detail card in the catalog also shows small chips for the spirits it adds.
Every spirit has five tiers, reached at 25, 60, 140, 300, and 600 points. A village with a strong single spirit takes a tier name from it: a Nautical village grows from Dockside to Fishing Hamlet, Harbor Town, Seafaring Port, and finally Thalassocracy. Pastoral runs from Homestead to Arcadia, Scholar from Quillhouse to University, Tourism from Wayside Inn to Riviera.
Two spirits that each cross their first tier and each hold at least a quarter of the total blend into a name of their own: Saltmarsh, Wine Country, Boardwalk, Mill Town, Artisan Market, Witch’s Garden, Hexing Coven, and sixty more. A broad, balanced village becomes a Crossroads, Metropolis, Cosmopolis, or The Convergence. A village with no spirit at 25 points yet is an Outpost.
When the name changes, everyone nearby sees it in chat: Riverbend has grown into a Harbor Town.
What It Affects
Section titled “What It Affects”Community Spirit is identity. It names your village, and with Traveler’s Titles installed the name and spirit appear when you arrive. It has no effect on villager behaviour. With cultures, it also draws villagers toward the peoples within their culture that suit what the village has built, and it can change which clothes they prefer.
Accessibility
Section titled “Accessibility”The Spirit page has colour-blind patterns, high contrast, larger hit targets, narration, and a font scale in the client configuration.
